Old Trafford : One of the most famous football grounds in the world, the `Theatre of Dreams` is home to Manchester United. The 68,000 capacity stadium has hosted England`s major international fixtures while building work on the new Wembley is being completed, and the capacity will be expanded to 75,000 by 2012.

Old Trafford is situated within a couple of miles of Manchester city centre.

Old Trafford will host events in both the men`s and women`s football tournament in 2012. The stadium boasts excellent facilities for players and spectactors alike.

Manchester United will return to Old Trafford after the Games.

Old Trafford hosts crowds in excess of 60,000 throughout the year, and ample car and coach parking is available within walking distance of the ground. Trains and Manchester`s tram system provide easy access to the city centre and Manchester Airport.
